Legionnaires’ disease case confirmed at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Bronson Methodist Hospital has confirmed that a patient who was recently hospitalized there was diagnosed with Legionnaires’ Disease, prompting an investigation with state and local health officials and mitigation efforts inside the hospital.

In a statement sent to News Channel 3, Bronson said the diagnosis involves a single patient and emphasized that it believes the risk of exposure to others is low.
