Lexington neighborhood roads remain icy as cold temperatures persist

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Neighborhood roads across Lexington remain covered in thick ice as cold temperatures prevent melting, leaving many residents unable to safely leave their homes.

While main roads have been treated with salt and plows, residential streets sit at the bottom of the city’s plowing priority list. Many neighborhood roads have not seen plows or salt trucks, creating hazardous conditions for drivers and pedestrians.
