Lionel Richie, Earth, Wind & Fire to bring ‘Sing a Song All Night Long’ tour to SF

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A pair of legendary R&B, funk and soul performers are headed for San Francisco later this year. On Monday, Live Nation announced that Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire will be bringing their “Sing a Song All Night Long” tour to SF’s Chase Center this summer.

The 26-city tour kicks off on June 24 at the Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul, MN. It will touch down for one night at the Chase Center on Thursday, Aug. 6. The tour, which also includes stops in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto, will wrap up on Aug. 14 in Austin, Texas.

In addition to selling more than 125 million albums worldwide, Lionel Richie is known to younger audiences for “American Idol,” having appeared on the show as a judge for the past eight seasons. The prolific Earth, Wind & Fire have released 23 albums since forming in 1969, selling 100 million albums and scoring eight number one hits along the way.
