MILWAUKEE (WLUK) — Cherie Campion of Mishicot was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months in federal prison for a multi-million-dollar money laundering scheme.
She was also ordered to pay $10,389,371.51 in restitution.
According to prosecutors, through her temporary staffing agency based in Manitowoc, Campion generated and submitted thousands of fraudulent invoices, causing respective losses of $5,000,000 and $5,389,371.51 for the two companies she deceived…
