KAUKAUNA — The 1000 Islands Environmental Center will host its annual Eagle Day event on Jan. 31, 2026 offering the public several opportunities to observe bald eagles along the Fox River. The free event runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes both indoor and outdoor activities for all ages.
Volunteers and naturalists will staff three specific viewing locations at the 1000 Islands fishing pier, Nelson Overlook and the Ahlstrom Technology Support Center.
While eagles can be seen throughout the day, naturalists recommend sunrise and sunset as the most active times for bird activity. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring binoculars or spotting scopes for the best views…
