Frigid temperatures cause maintenance issues in Oswego 308 schools

The Oswego 308 School District was hit hard by frigid temperatures over the weekend, leading to multiple maintenance issues at several schools.

The district says a failed sprinkler head at Bednarcik Junior High in Aurora led to flooding and water damage Saturday morning. Later, maintenance staff had to replace two gas valves in boilers at Prairie Point Elementary in Oswego due to unusually cold temperatures in that building.
