(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is asking the community for help identifying a suspect who allegedly broke into a home in the Downtown area in December 2024 and assaulted an elderly man with a crowbar.
According to CSPD, around 2 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2024, dispatchers received a report of a burglary in progress in the 700 block of Sahwatch Street, on the south side of Downtown Colorado Springs. CSPD said an unknown man unlawfully entered a home and assaulted an elderly man with a crowbar. The suspect then ran away.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, around 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a beanie hat, green/gray shirt, and black pants. The suspect is pictured above.
