Linder Road has been closed due to phase one of the Linder Road, State Highway 44 to Floating Feather Road Project. The road has been closed between Saguaro Drive and Rosslare Court since Nov. 11, 2025. The road will not reopen until the spring of 2026.
The overall goal of the project is to help with traffic on Linder Road. The project will result in Linder Road being widened to five lanes. The project will also end with a brand-new roundabout at Floating Feather and Linder Road as well as new walking paths along the road.
Although the overall goal is to improve traffic, the project is currently causing more delays, especially for Eagle High students that have to travel on or past Linder Road to get to school. Junior Brooke Montgomery has had to endure the traffic backups because her neighborhood entrance is on Linder Road.
