J.D. Lever Elementary returns to normal after suspicious incident caused lockdown

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – J.D. Lever Elementary School was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning while Aiken County deputies responded to the area.

Aiken County school officials say the school initiated the “Hold” Standard Response Protocol while deputies addressed suspicious persons in the community.
