Earthquakes may not happen often in Toronto or Buffalo, New York, but they do occur. If you live in Western New York or southern Ontario, you may have felt seismic activity when an earthquake recently rattled portions of Toronto.
When an earthquake hits, especially in regions unaccustomed to them, it can be unsettling, leaving many people wondering, “What was that?” I’ll never forget feeling one while in a dentist’s office here in Western New York. When the shaking began, the dentist looked at me and asked if I was moving and if I could stop! I politely told him it wasn’t me, I thought it was him! Being in an earthquake is nerve-racking. Being in a dentist chair during an earthquake? That’s a whole other level of scary.
