The good news today is that we won’t see a lot of new snow across Western New York; the bad news is that the latest cold front is bringing bitterly cold temperatures across Western New York. With another round of gusty, snowy weather coming our way, the National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of Western New York.
Winter Weather Advisory In Place For Western New York
With cold and snow expected today, A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for all of Western New York until 10 pm tonight. Winds are expected to get up to 40 miles per hour, which could cause white-out conditions across Western New York. If you are on the roads today, make sure you take your time. An additional 2-4 inches of snow is possible across the 716 today.
Lake Effect Snow will continue through the week, with lake effect snow warnings in effect for counties southeast and east of Lake Ontario. Heaviest snow is likely to be centered upon Oswego County where 2 to 3 feet through Thursday is possible in most persistent bands. pic.twitter.com/llUbR9OdvU
