With Fayette County yet to thaw out from multiple inches of snow and ice, FCPS is opting for its third NTI day in a row this week. So far this academic year has included a mix of both NTI and traditional snow days.
In 2025, the district had considered dropping the NTI option, citing concerns about its effectiveness and the lack of reimbursement from federal food service programs on those days, but ultimately decided to keep NTI as a backup.
