Winchester father missing for 20-years, investigators seek leads

WINCHESTER, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Winchester Police Department is taking a fresh look at a case that’s been cold for two decades.

According to investigators, Thomas Edward Profitt was last seen on May, 3, 2006, in Winchester. He was supposed to meet his daughter in Lexington, but he never arrived.

Police said that at the time, he drove a maroon 1997 Buick Century with a vanity plate on the front that read “Tom & Anna.”

Profitt stood around six feet tall, 220 pounds, with blue eyes, shoulder-length gray hair, and glasses. Winchester police said that he had scars on his chest and was missing part of his right index finger.
