FORT PIERCE — The St. Lucie County Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously Jan. 15 to recommend approval of a Mixed Use Development (MXD) Future Land Use designation for a 160-acre property assembled by a national commercial real estate firm planning to develop the Kings Highway parcel as part of the growing Kings Highway Jobs Corridor.
Senior Planner Irene Szedlmayer presented an overview of the request from Ashley Capital.
“The subject site is just south of Orange Avenue on the west side of Kings Highway,” she said. “It consists of a larger parcel north of Pecos Road and a smaller parcel south of Pecos Road.”…
