HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — After nearly all of the flights out of Richmond International Airports (RIC) were canceled on Sunday due to a winter storm, cancelations have since dwindled as conditions improved.
According to a spokesperson with RIC, as of Tuesday, Jan. 27, conditions around the airport had “significantly improved over the weekend, despite lingering cold temps.”
The airport said its role is to keep infrastructure like runways, taxiways and roadways open and operational. Staff have reportedly done so through the storm and have continued to “tidy up where necessary,” said a spokesperson with RIC…
