Big Bon Bodega, an award-winning neighborhood eatery and community gathering place featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” recently relaunched Miss Sophie’s restaurant at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force at 175 Bourne Ave. in Pooler, Ga., serving classic, Southern-style lunch favorites.
Miss Sophie’s is now open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering expanded Saturday hours for the first time. In response to customer demand, the restaurant also offers online ordering for pickup or delivery through Toast Online or UberEats.
The daily hot bar at Miss Sophie’s includes a freshly prepared selection of Southern-inspired classics, including Fried Chicken, BBQ Pulled Pork and Beef Pot Roast as well as rotating daily specials like Sophie’s Meatloaf, Chicken and Dumplings, Country Fried Steak and more. Popular seasonal sides include green beans, creamed corn, sweet potato crunch, mac & cheese, black-eyed peas and mashed potatoes with gravy.
