TOWN OF DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Workers of the CNY SPCA walked out of the shelter Tuesday morning to protest what they say is neglectful leadership.
At least nine people currently employed by the organization left the building and joined a group of more than 20 people protesting in front of the shelter on East Malloy Road, Jan. 27. The group included former employees, volunteers and people who’ve adopted animals from the shelter.
“There has been a pattern of neglect. There has been a pattern of unethical practices, staff turnover,” explained Lizzy Scollo. “We really just want to save this place.”…
