Landmarking of two new Milwaukee sites moves to city’s zoning committee

The discussions of two potential new City of Milwaukee landmarks (one of them being a four-property district) have moved to the Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee after being approved by the Historic Preservation Commission.

The proposed Brady and Farwell Historic District on the northeast corner of East Brady Street and North Farwell Avenue includes four homes, including a pair of matching houses on Farwell Avenue designed by James Douglas and built in 1878, and an early Henry C. Koch Italianate design on Brady Street dating to 1874.
