Tariffs and rising costs squeezing Western New York manufacturers

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new survey from the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance (BNMA) shows rising tariffs, higher raw material costs, and ongoing supply chain disruptions are putting significant pressure on manufacturers across Western New York and the Southern Tier.

The survey, conducted in partnership with the Manufacturing Association of the Southern Tier, found that more than 80 percent of respondents are experiencing higher raw material costs. Business leaders say those increases are already affecting orders, profits, and employees.
