The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted the temporary speed limit restriction on Interstate 79 in Crawford, Erie, and Mercer counties.
With winter conditions continuing to impact the region, PennDOT has continued to advise drivers to avoid unnecessary travel, speeds limits are still reduced on Interstate 79 from Exit 113 (Route 208, Grove City) in Mercer County to the ending point in Erie County and Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line in Mercer County to Exit 42 (Route 38, Emlenton) in Venango County.
Interstate 80’s westbound lanes in Mercer County have been closed between the Ohio state line and Exit 4B (Route 18/760, Sharon/Hermitage) due to a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer. The closure will be in effect until the scene has been cleared…
