Detyens Shipyards Inc., North Charleston, S.C., has been awarded a $15.4 million firm-fixed-price contract to carry out a scheduled shipyard availability for the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195).
The 76-calendar-day midterm availability is set to begin Feb. 1, 2026, with completion expected by April 17, 2026. Work will be performed at Detyens’ facility in North Charleston.
The contract includes a base work package along with two unexercised options for additional work and time. If those options are exercised, the total contract value would increase to approximately $15.5 million…
