FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Don Chevillet, a local broadcaster whose voice became familiar to three generations of northeast Indiana families, died last week at age 98.
Chevillet started his broadcasting career in South Bend in the 1950s before working for WOWO radio in Fort Wayne. In 1974, he accepted a position at 21Alive, marking the beginning of his television career.
At 21Alive, Chevillet hosted shows including “Cross Walk” and “Talk of the Town,” interviewing local people and Hollywood celebrities…
