You certainly cannot present a fake nursing license in order to land a job. If you do and get caught, you will wind up in prison.

A West Michigan woman who used a fake nursing license to secure a job at a Grand Rapids hospice care facility has now been sentenced to prison.

According to WOOD, 51-year-old Liticia Gallarzo was sentenced to 6 years, 3 months in person for impersonating a registered nurse. Gallarzo, provided fake medical records, nursing license and pretended to be a registered nurse for nearly a year in Grand Rapids.

Gallarzo pleaded guilty to federal charges in 2023 but made a serious misstep by failing to appear for sentencing in 2024. She fled first to Illinois and then to California, where she was eventually located and arrested in Los Angeles. Gallarzo was extradited back to Michigan, where she was ultimately sentenced to prison…
