PENDLETON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Officials with the Town of Pendleton said a sewer overflow occurred on Monday due to a power outage at the Town Creek Pump Station.
The overflow occurred from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. off East Queen Street and was around 2,000 gallons. Crews were sent to stop it. It was neutralized with hydrated lime, according to officials.
Officials do not believe the overflow reached a body of water, but they recommend staying away from the vicinity of the overflow for the next week…
