CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A Sycamore Township man who admitted to tying up and repeatedly raping a woman in 1989 was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison for lying to federal investigators, prosecutors said.
Frederick Tanzer pleaded guilty in September to three counts of making false statements to federal agents. Tanzer, a medical doctor, has lived and practiced medicine in Ohio, Kansas and Colorado.
According to plea documents, Tanzer broke into a woman’s Cincinnati home on Aug. 1, 1989, held a knife to her throat, tied her up and raped her repeatedly over the course of about five and a half hours. Authorities said Tanzer wore a mask during the attack…
