KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two brothers accused in a shooting that led to a car crash appeared in court Wednesday.
Jamarcus Murphy, 20, and Jamahus Murphy, 18, were arrested in December after a woman was shot while driving, leading to her crashing her car. The driver survived, but is now paralyzed. The passenger, 48-year-old Angela Taylor, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. This took place in the area of W. Oldham Ave and Worth Street on December 5.

During Wednesday’s hearing, Knoxville Police Investigator Chas Terry took the witness stand. He described his investigation into the shooting. Shortly after responding to the scene, police discovered that a nearby church had surveillance video of the incident.
