Lancaster County postal worker sentenced in $700K theft, altered hundreds of checks

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Lancaster County postal worker who stole almost $700,000 by altering checks was sentenced last week.

Jennesy Rodriguez, 30, of Lancaster, will spend between 11 months and 29 days to one year and 11 months in prison after being sentenced by Judge Thomas Sponaugle on Jan. 22, according to online court records.

Originally, a total of 556 charges were filed against Rodriguez, but she only pleaded guilty to eight charges of theft, forgery, bad checks, criminal use of a communication facility and identity theft. The others were withdrawn, court records show…
