Harrisburg man fired into parked car with woman, 4 children inside: police

Two armed men approached a parked car in Harrisburg last week and one of them fired a gun into the vehicle with a woman and four children inside, police said.

Police on Tuesday accused Robert A. Banks, 50, of Harrisburg, of being one of the gunmen. A second suspect was not identified in court documents. Police charged Banks with 27 offenses related to the Jan. 22 shooting.

An affidavit of probable cause written by Harrisburg police said Banks got out of the driver’s seat of a parked car at about 10:40 p.m. on the 1400 block of Hunter Street and walked up to another parked car, carrying a handgun…
