MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A fire destroyed a home and a backyard shed on Hillview Drive Tuesday afternoon, prompting a large response from Mobile Fire-Rescue and leaving the home heavily damaged.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 1:15 p.m., after neighbors reported smoke and flames coming from the roof. According to a neighbor, their dog alerted them to the fire, leading them to call 911.
“When we arrived, there was heavy smoke billowing from the roof,” said Steven Millhouse, public information officer for Mobile Fire-Rescue.
