JACKSON, Miss. (WMC) – Noted Memphis singer/songwriter/musician Marcella Simien and her husband, musician Dustin Reynolds, know the icy I-55 blues by heart now after a marathon effort to get home to Memphis that started Tuesday, January 27.
The couple had spent the first part of the week performing seven showcases at Folk Alliance International, a gathering of talented musicians who shared their musical gifts at a New Orleans convention from January 21-25.
Marcella and Dustin have friends who were successful in driving safely from the Big Easy to the Home of the Blues on Monday, January 26.
So, after checking on road conditions online first, they left New Orleans about 10:30 a.m…
