SELMER, Tenn. (KAIT) – North Arkansas Electric Cooperative linemen are working to restore power in Tennessee after severe weather damaged electrical infrastructure in the area.
The cooperative sent several linemen to Selmer to assist with power restoration efforts. Andrew Ward, a line foreman with North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, said crews face ongoing challenges from dangerous conditions.
“The tree limbs, the pine trees, since there’s so much of them, you know, there’s damage everywhere,” Ward said. “And it’s a danger to just kind of be, you know, underneath in a wooded area. So, you always want to just kind of keep your head up and just look for limbs that are already loose, already broke, that’s just hanging there that the wind might blow them off or whatever.”…
