NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney Ramin Fatehi said he is among a newly-formed coalition of prosecutors who are fighting back against what they say is federal overreach.
Fatehi made the announcement during an NAACP vigil and call-to-action town hall in Hampton Tuesday to remember the two people killed by federal agents in Minneapolis this month.
“I know that if Donald Trump’s goons come into Norfolk or come into Newport News, or Arlington or Fairfax or Portsmouth, they’ll have us to contend with,” Fatehi said. “Now is the time for local officials to save us from the federal government.”…
