Norfolk Police seek suspect in string of commercial burglaries

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect believed to be involved in a series of commercial burglaries between Jan. 19 and Jan. 21.

Police say four businesses were broken into during overnight and early-morning hours, and detectives believe the incidents may be connected.

The locations include Tim Hortons, Little Dog Diner, Norfolk Coffee & Tea and Redwood Smoke Shack.

  • On Jan. 19, the suspect entered Tim Hortons at 472 N. Military Highway and stole several items belonging to the business.
  • On Jan. 20, the suspect entered through the front door at Little Dog Diner at 1917 Colley Ave. and stole several items.
  • Between Jan. 20 and Jan. 21, the suspect entered through the rear of Norfolk Coffee & Tea at 212 18th Street. and stole several items. During the same timeframe, the suspect entered through the front door at Redwood Smoke Shack at 2001 Manteo Street, ransacked the business and caused damage.
