One of Sacramento’s most iconic and long-running farmers market will soon have new management.
The Sacramento Sunday Central Certified Farmers’ Market, which runs on Sundays under Highway 50 between W and X streets on the edge of Southside Park will be run by Alchemist Community Development Corporation starting Feb. 1.
The market was started by Dan and Renae Best in 1980. Now, 46 years later, they are retiring. Their daughter, Danielle Best, will manage the market. She has been on the team of Alchemist since it took over the Florin market from the Bests in 2024…
