PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach Gardens woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she stole a vehicle license plate and caused more than $1,000 in damage to a neighbor’s car, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department
Investigators said the incident occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 27 at an apartment complex in Palm Beach Gardens. Officers were dispatched following a delayed report of a theft and vandalism involving two vehicles parked near each other.
According to police, the reporting party told officers that a license plate was removed from a parked vehicle overnight. When the owner returned the next morning, the plate was missing and the vehicle showed signs of damage, including paint damage to the rear panel.
