AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Quincy Carver started Cali Burritos as a pop-up venture in San Diego and Chicago before bringing a food truck to Veterans Park in Amsterdam this past summer. Now, Cali Burritos is getting a permanent restaurant location at 30 E Main Street in Amsterdam.

Carver said Cali Burritos will have its soft opening on Friday. As he is still waiting for the liquor license, the restaurant will be open for to-go only.
The Cali Burritos menu includes burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, all with various fillings. When the restaurant has its grand opening and is open for dine -in, Carver plans on adding enchiladas, chimichangas, salads, bowls, and more to the menu.
Almost two years ago, Carver was planning to open a restaurant called 44 Main in the former G’s Famous Lemon Cookies space. He later found out he couldn’t open in that space as it wouldn’t be up to code, Carver told NEWS10.
