Baton Rouge is certainly in a sorry situation right now.

City-parish government is laying off hundreds of employees, there is a massive budget crunch and, on Wednesday, sitting Metro Councilman Cleve Dunn was indicted on nine counts including theft, bribery, fraud and conspiracy.

Dunn’s is the fifth indictment in the three-year old probe that has already charged three contractors and a former executive at the long-troubled Capital Area Transit System, or CATS…
