OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Werner Enterprises has merged with FirstFleet, calling the $245 million cash deal a “strategic acquisition.”
Announced Wednesday, the deal reportedly combines FirstFleet’s eastern U.S. footprint with Omaha-based Werner Enterprises to become the fifth-largest dedicated carrier in North America; but keeps FirstFleet’s headquarters at its Tennessee location and retains the majority of its management.
