Suspect arrested after third crime at same store in one day

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said that on Tuesday, Jan. 27, a suspect was arrested after visiting a store three times in one day and allegedly committing a crime each time.

According to CSPD, on Tuesday, Detectives with CSPD’s Retail, Pawn and Metal (RPM) Theft Unit were called by a retailer in the 4000 block of North Nevada Avenue, south of Austin Bluffs Parkway, about a suspect who allegedly pulled a knife on the store’s Asset Protection, and soon after returned to the store and stole something.

Detectives responded and, believing the suspect was likely in the general area, worked with the Falcon patrol officers, providing a photograph of the suspect. Later, the retail store contacted detectives again to report that the suspect had allegedly returned a third time, shoplifted, and was currently walking south from the store…
