ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The owner of a controversial bookstore in Albuquerque says he is optimistic he will once again be allowed to let homeless people camp on his property.
Gillam Kerley, who owns Quirky Used Books and More near Nob Hill, told KOB 4 Wednesday he believes he has “a very strong constitutional case” as he continues to appeal a judge’s decision to shut down the camp after the City of Albuquerque filed an emergency petition, claiming the property had become a public nuisance.
