Peninsula Community Health Services will permanently close a medical clinic in Port Orchard, designed to care for those formerly incarcerated at the county jail, after spending over a year attempting to address city building code violations that halted operations.
Jennifer Kreidler-Moss, CEO of PCHS, confirmed in an interview that the agency will be unable to reopen the Clifton Clinic, which the city permitting office closed more than a year ago. PCHS has been unable to bring the clinic into compliance with city code or receive an exemption necessary to reopen, Kreidler-Moss said.
