A real estate holding company is donating 33.3 acres of land adjacent to Honey Bee Canyon Park to the town of Oro Valley. VP II Loan LLC, is donating two “prominently hilly” desert parcels that sit immediately east of 63-acre Honey Bee Canyon Park. The land is zoned for open-space use within the Rancho Vistoso planned area development.
Mark Winkleman, a licensed real estate broker who is the chief operating officer of the donating entity, told the Oro Valley Town Council the land “has a long story, which I won’t bore you with.” He said the donation gives Oro Valley “the opportunity to expand the park, build trails, anything.”
At this time, “there are no proposed uses for the two parcels,” Assistant Town Manager Chris Cornelison told the town council in a memo. “Any future consideration of their use would be appropriately addressed through a future strategic planning effort” as directed by the town council, he added…
