VENICE — Nearly two years after purchasing a vacant Venice church in the hopes of revamping it into a coffee shop, a local couple has finally been approved to do just that.
At Tuesday’s Sarasota County Commission, officials — charmed by the amount of community involvement the owners of Bergeys Coffee Co. had for their aspiring business model — unanimously approved their rezone request.
