CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston Police and firefighters responded to a massive brush fire Wednesday night near the Ravenel Bridge and Interstate 26.
Police officers confirmed the fire was on Laurel Island, where crews were first sent just before 11 p.m. after receiving reports of an outside fire near Romney Street.
At the scene, crews found grass, brush and debris burning and requested assistance, including that of specialized brush firefighting tools from Charleston, Saint Johns and Mount Pleasant Fire Departments…
