BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — On this day 49 years ago, a deadly blizzard struck Western New York and Southern Ontario. The Blizzard of ’77 stretched several days from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1, and there were 23 storm-related deaths reported.
