Dayton Public and Fairborn City schools explain their approach to calamity day policies

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — Dayton Public Schools and Fairborn City Schools explain their calamity day policies.

Snow covered roads and sidewalks and freezing temperatures have kept students home from school this week.

“It is frigid. The sidewalks haven’t been plowed. There are mounds of snow six feet high or higher on the side of roads and behind us. This is unsafe for children and so that’s how we think about it.
