Deputies charge teen as adult, 2 men after ‘horseplay turns to gunfire’ in Anderson

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said what began as horseplay and escalated into gunfire, is now leaving three people facing heavy charges.

Deputies said 17-year-old Alijia Willingham and 22-year-old Dimazio Pickens are both facing attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Ty’Heim Pickens is facing possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

The sheriff’s office said these charges come after deputies were called to the parking lot of a gas station on Pearman Dairy Road around 8:32 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to deputies, a group of people were throwing drinks at each other’s cars outside of a fast food chain. The confrontation carried over into the Stop-A-Minit parking lot where the situation turned violent…
