Georgia-Carolinas Weather Alert: Winter Storm Watch, 2–7 Inches Fri–Sun Morning Along I-26 Corridor

Northeast Georgia, Western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina – A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning across a large portion of the southern Appalachians, with accumulating snow, gusty winds, and hazardous travel conditions possible.

According to the National Weather Service in Greenville–Spartanburg, snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are possible east of Interstate 26, while 2 to 4 inches are expected across much of the remainder of the region.
