Gas device caused explosion at Olive Branch healthcare facility

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — The City of Olive Branch said a natural gas device sparked an explosion at healtchare facility early Tuesday morning.

The city said that at 12:37 a.m., officers and the Olive Branch Fire Department responded to reports of a loud boom in the area of 8990 Germantown Road at the future site of a healthcare facility, Southern VIP Pain Management, which had not yet opened.

The city also said there were no injuries reported and that preliminary findings indicated the explosion was caused by the ignition of a natural gas device…
