Serial stalker with violent history arrested in Chatham County

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A 24-year-old Savannah man has been arrested on charges of attempted kidnapping, stalking, and criminal trespass in what authorities are calling a stranger-on-stranger incident.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested Nathaniel Crawford Tuesday evening, January 27, 2026. Officials say the case is not domestic-related and involves multiple victims.

Authorities believe Crawford is a serial stalker whose behavior had been escalating and posed a significant public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing as deputies work to identify additional victims.
